I took a break from writing my Psychology introduction to announce that...

I recently edited "Here's to the Night" (the teen drama fic) and I updated the post from not too long ago. I'll probably be doing a lot of story editing in the next week or so, just to expand and add some scenes.
Here is a link to that old post - I've added one scene, elaborated on some parts, fixed minor things... The usual. If you feel like reading it, by all means. If not, THEN I HATE YOU SO MUCH YOU HURTFUL HURTYFACE. I'm kidding. I can't force you to read mypsuedo-porn work.

Plot Bunny!
Mar. 14th, 2008 02:40 amjadecastle6.livejournal.comHey just came up with a good idea for a story (but with absolutely no time to devote to one) I was wondering if anyone else would like have it? I'd really hate it for a good idea to go to waste in my head.
Ok. So we all know how resourceful Ben can be in any situation (kinda like mcgyver) and his great ability to bluff (or flat out lie) when the occasion arises. He finally owns up to his more-than-friendship attraction to Riley when it starts to affect him professionally (if that's not a sign then what is?), he breaks it off with Abigail but he just can't seem to take that final step and tell Riley (on the off chance that he might loose him forever). But he can't go on without telling him - the classic catch 22 situation.
But Ben finally gets his chance when Riley is in an accident and gets amnesia (ok I admit to watching a bit of Samantha Who). Anyway, he manages to quick-thinkingly convince Riley and Riley's Doctors (who will only allow family to see him in his condition) that they are in fact in a relationship and have been for some time. Riley goes "home" with Ben to recover and Ben crafts a beautiful web of lies about their relationship together. Feeling slightly guilty about all the lying and his need just to be physically close to Riley Ben sets out to "woo him all over again" - for the first time. Hilarity ensues - your choice.
So what do y'all think? Personally I think I think too much.

I just wanted to let everyone know who reads my fic (Secrets, Love and Pain) I'm putting on hiatus for awhile.
I don't know how long.
I'm doing this for many reasons and I feel the need to explain some.
1) I'm totally stuck. I've had no inspiration for awhile and my plot bunnies seem to have died somewhere.
2) I'm not really sure about my fic anymore. I don't know if I want to continue with it or if I should restart it.
3) Some people (who I'm going to name) have put down my fic to my face, and online. The things they said were rather harsh and let me just say these people are homophobes. So they were putting down my fic and me.
4) I've been going through some really tough times right now. My life, from my point of view, is going to hell at the moment and seems to want to stay there. So along with no inspiration, I'm also lacking motivation.
When things are getting better, I'll let you guys know when I'm picking it back up again. (if I do)

Now, I define a crack story as something that, when one first hears the premise or reads the summary, has an immediate "wtf?" reaction but reads the story anyway, just to find out how the hell it's all gonna work. And, once one has completed the fic, one is just begging for more.
It's amazing.
Crossovers are allowed; they're encouraged, actually. (Be sure to include either a summary of the crossover fandom or a link to the wikipedia entry of that fandom, just in case some people are unfamiliar. Crack is good; confusion is not.) Anyway: the crackier, the better.

Ever since Book of Secrets started in cinemas around the world, we've had an influx of activity that's making me giddy with excitement. So many new fanfics, so much fanart and discussions.![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
treasure_geeks has never been this active before and I've never thought it was necessary up until now, but I do believe we need to start bringing some order into the community.
LJ's tag system is probably the easiest way to organise the comm and make fanfic and fanart easy to find. Luckily I'm not the only one who's been thinking about this. Bee (akacynical_sweater) approached me and volunteered to go back and tag the comm's entries, so don't worry when your entries suddenly get tagged.
Once Bee's finished with her task, you should have no problems finding your way around the comm's entries, whether you're a newbie looking to catch up on your fanfic reading or a fandom veteran looking for your favourite piece of fanart.
For that, I think Bee deserves our heartfelt thanks and possibly some virtual cookies!
